Make Coffee Liqueur
We recommend using our flavor packed city roasts like our Specter Organic Medium Roast or our Apparition Organic City Roast. This is an adult beverages intended for those 21 and older; drink responsibly. This recipe has minimal cook time, and can be used in the Sinister-tini recipe we have in our recipes blog.
How to Make homemade kahlua
Ingredients:
4 oz. ½ cup water
½ cup sugar
8 oz. or 1 cup vodka
½ cup coarse grind coffee beans
½ vanilla bean split, scraped
or
½ tsp. vanilla extract
Equipment:
Saucepan
Whisk
Mason Jar/Storage Container
Fine Mesh strainer
Paper Filter
Paring knife
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, bring water to a simmer and add sugar. Turn heat off and whisk until sugar is dissolved. Let cool before use.
In a mason jar combine sugar syrup with vodka, coarse ground coffee and vanilla. Cover and infuse at room temp for 24 hours. Wet a coffee filter slightly, place over a fine mesh strainer. Pour infusion over the coffee filter, taking time and care not to go over the sides of filter. When done pour contents into a storage container.
